John Costa

ABOUT JOHN...a teacher, player and student of the harmonica, guitar and mandolin.  He has played the harp for over fifteen years.  During this time, his love and passion for the harmonica has never wavered.  This passion has led him to teach at the notable levels of the two main harmonica conventions, the Buckeye in Ohio, and SPAH (Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica).  He has taught at Jon Gindick’s Jam Camps and a Blues Harmonica class at Purdue North Central.  John alsp teaches many other harmonica styles; such as Bluegrass, Irish, and most formidably Old-Time Style.  John is also in touch with the “harmonica community” all over the country and as such, is quite a resource for beginners as well as advanced players. As a performer, John has played both as a soloist and as a sideman all over Chicago and Northwest Indiana.  He performed as a soloist at the Buckeye Harmonica Convention in Columbus, Ohio.  John is involved in the local music scene and holds recitals every few months, for all of his various harmonica, guitar and mandolin students in Valparaiso, IN.  He is currently performing with Tonite's Special, an acoustic duo.  To contact John please click HEREPLEASE MAKE SURE YOU MENTION HARMONICA 411 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR EMAIL.
